Strength Training Program

The NSSA Strength program is provided for athletes twelve years of age and older. It is vital for athletes to participate in a strength training program in order to reach maximum athletic potential. The NSSA Strength Program combines the main principles of the Bigger Faster Stronger strength training system. BFS has been helping athletes achieve their goals since 1977.

NSSA Sports Performance trainers teach our athletes proper technique, performing essential lifts such as the squat, bench press, hex-bar deadlift and powerclean. As with our Speed Program, athletes strength train all year round. NSSA athletes chart their progress and break personal records nearly every time they enter the strength room

The NSSA Strength program has two phases: the Readiness Program for those not yet ready to engage in heavy weight training, and the Set-Rep System for those athletes who have graduated to this level. The NSSA Strength program combined with the Speed program are a powerful combination, helping our athletes prevent injury, build confidence and reach their athletic potential.
